The Route
1️⃣ Bus stop near Regent’s Park
Begin near York Bridge, easing into the wide perimeter road.
This section feels slightly quieter than the main southern entrance areas — a good place to settle into rhythm.
2️⃣ Outer Circle
Join the Outer Circle, Regent’s Park Cycling Loop, the broad tarmac loop that circles the park.
It’s essentially a road bordered by greenery — not the most scenic part of the park, but excellent for uninterrupted running and pacing.
Perfect for tempo efforts or controlled long intervals.
3️⃣ Avenue Gardens & Lion Tazza Fountain
Cut slightly inward towards the formal gardens to pass the elegant Lion Tazza Fountain.
This section adds visual interest — manicured lawns, ornamental planting and tiered fountains break up the perimeter feel.
4️⃣ Closing the Loop
Rejoin the outer circuit and complete the final stretch back towards York Bridge.
Flat, consistent and easy to measure — exactly 5.0km done.
