If rivers aren’t your thing, this is London’s perfect green escape.

This 5km loop takes you through some of the capital’s most beautiful Royal Parks — wide paths, open space and a calm atmosphere right in the heart of the city.

Route Overview

Distance: 5.12km
Style: Park loop
Start & Finish: Hyde Park Corner
Surface: Flat, paved paths
Best Time to Run: Early morning or sunset

The Route

1️⃣ Hyde Park Start

Begin at Hyde Park Corner and head north into the park. The wide paths make it easy to settle into your pace without dodging traffic.

2️⃣ The Serpentine Stretch

The loop around the Serpentine is flat and scenic, with open views across the water and plenty of space to run freely.

This is where the route feels calmest — especially on weekday mornings.

3️⃣ Green Park Transition

Head south-east into Green Park. The tree-lined avenues give a completely different feel — quieter, slightly more enclosed, and very smooth underfoot.

4️⃣ Buckingham Palace Moment

Approach Buckingham Palace from the park side and loop around the Victoria Memorial.

It’s one of the most iconic finishing backdrops in London.

5️⃣ Return to Hyde Park

Cut back through Green Park and return to Hyde Park Corner to complete your 5km.
